Diagnosis: poliomyelitis, spastic diplegia, final cronical-residual stage.

After that we have been transported into another reanimation room. The baby was nourished and given medicines trough a syringe connected to a catheter. After one month, when her weight reached 1.65 kg, doctors send us home. Since then, every month I was visiting our family doctor with Mariana, and the doctor was saying that she is developing very well without any complications. She was receiving all scheduled vaccinations. However, when I told my doctor that my eight month old daughter is not holding her head and can’t seat, there was only one answer: the girl is to small for this…. Mariana was one year old and we went to Chisinau were we have been hospitalized for some medical procedures. Then I was reassured that everything is going well and nothing is happening. But during the next medical check up in Chisinau, doctors told us that my child is ill. The precise diagnosis is: poliomyelitis, spastic diplegia, final cronical-residual stage. When my daughter was one year and three months old, we started her treatment. She holds now the first grade of disability. My child was given ‘Actovegin, Sonopack, Cerebolizin, CortecsinPatologam, Cinarizin’ and other medications that she still has to take them.   Every three months we are hospitalized for treatment and rehabilitation. My daughter was treated in the Mother and Children Center in Chisinau and in the center for rehabilitation of disabled children’s located in Odessa, Ukraine. Twice Mariana was treated with Botox. Unfortunately, up to today nothing has helped.
Now I hope very much on compassion and help of not indifferent people. To be a mother of a disabled child is very difficult. I thank God that intellectually my daughter is developing very well. But she can’t walk and she is loosing immediately her balance. She can stand with some support but not for a very long period of time. In the upcoming month, doctors from the Tula city, Russian Federation are coming to Moldova. They will perform a series of surgeries for Moldova’s children. Doctors promised that after second surgery on the leg’s muscles  my doughter Marina will walk better and more confident. The essence of the Ulzibat method – dissection of scars in the muscles by the specially designed scalpel, whose construction/design makes it possible to perform operation without the extensive skin section/cut. Operation is low-traumatic, which makes it possible to carry out these operational interference immediately on several scars in the muscles. In comparison with the traditional procedures, this method gives the possibility of sharp reduction in the duration of postoperative restoration/reduction (from 1 days to 2 weeks depending on localization of contractures) and information to the minimum of the probability of recurrentI believe and hope that for my daughter this surgery will be a miraculous recovery. Mariana’s surgery was scheduled for November, 16. The cost of the surgery, which will be held in Republic of Moldova, Chisinau Medical Center <<Gynesource>>, is 700 EUR (at the rate of the NBM on the payment date). Unfortunately, I can’t save this amount of money on my own. So I decided to ask for help from good people. Dear, please, help us to finish the job!»

Previously, the NGO «Save the Life» paid for Mariana’s surgery and rehabilitation according to Ulzibat method that took place in Evpatoria, Ukraine. After these procedures, she began to walk better.

Before treatment, she walked on toes, but now she is walking on her feet. Before when she was sleeping she couldn’t change her position by herself, but now she can do this. She became more mobile and active and is smiling more often!

One week to go before the second surgery in scheduled following Ulzibat method, which will be held in Republic of Moldova, Chisinau Medical Center <<Gynesource>>. We kindly ask everyone to help Mariana!
